Antoine Griezmann has attracted the interest of a number of top clubs around the continent, with Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Juventus believed to be just some of his suitors.

Many reports had recently claimed that the Atletico Madrid forward was poised to move to Manchester United, with the feeling that a stint in the English Premier League being an attractive option for the Frenchman.

That he would be paired with Jose Mourinho there, a manager he has a great deal of respect for, was said to be another factor in his inclination to join the Red Devils.

The France international has put in a number of eye-catching performances for los Rojiblancos after a rather impressive display at the Euro 2016.

With him only 26 years old, it was believed that this was the opportune time for any potential move, with critics claiming that he deserved the chance to move to a “bigger club” for the sake of a fresh challenge which was seen as necessary for his development as a player.

Griezmann, for the most part, has remained tight-lipped about his future plans to keep Manchester United supporters on edge.

However, in a recent interview, he has revealed that there is one team that could tempt him to leave Atletico Madrid – but it’s not a football club!

Asked during a radio interview about whether there is a club that could tempt him to leave Atletico, Griezmann opened up about his love of NBA franchise New York Knicks.

“I would only leave Atleti to play with Derrick Rose,” Griezmann is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

At 5ft 9ins, Griezmann would be relatively small for a basketball player, but he may choose to take solace from the fact that Boston Celtic guard Isaiah Thomas has shone in the NBA playoffs despite being the same height as the Atletico star.
