Hamilton gets trolled after posting topless photo

Lewis Hamilton has been trolled by F1 legend David Coulthard after the Mercedes superstar driver posted a topless pic of himself on his Twitter.

Having been a part of a recent photoshoot with an Australian fitness magazine, Hamilton was keen to give fans a teaser on what to expect, but little did he know that it would catch the eye of some of the biggest names in the F1 world.

The Brit showed off his tattooed physique on the cover of Men’s Health Australia with a pair of posts to his 4.4 million followers.

Channel 4 commentator Coulthard wrote, “I can’t stand F1 drivers removing their shirts for financial gain #shameoffinancialgain.”

To join into the banter, the 46-year-old posted a shirtless picture from his own racing days. So if at all people had any trouble understanding his tone, they would now know it was a sarcastic jibe.

It wasn’t just Coulthard who decided to have a little fun over the snaps.

Fellow Channel 4 pundit and former F1 driver Karun Chandhok also joined in on the fun.

While he didn’t resort to finding a similar picture of himself, he did take the pain, or perhaps pleasure, of rummaging through the archives and coming up with a snap of Aston Martin Racing driver Darren Turner posing in the buff with just his helmet covering privates.

Replying to Coulthard, Chandhok wrote, “Think @DarrenTurner007 subscribed to that wholeheartedly!”

This was later followed up with a host of photos of Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner posing naked with a race-car from a notorious photoshoot.

While Hamilton is yet to respond to this banter, it is clear that he would’ve also enjoyed seeing other famed names having a jolly old time pulling his leg.

Formula One returns next weekend for the Monaco GP – welcoming the return of retired McLaren-Honda driver Jenson Button for a one-off race.
